Service Departments
The Facilities Department services the entire Abbotsford School District through the following service departments:
Department Management Team
Director, Facilities & Transportation – Greg Forbes-King, AScT
Responsible for all aspects relating to administration and maintenance of the district's facilities and grounds, security, safety, capital construction, energy management, custodial and Transportation.
Manager of Transportation – Ken Cutting
Responsible for overseeing and supervising the safe conveyance of passengers to and from district facilities, school crossing guards, delivery services and operation and maintenance of the district school bus fleet and maintenance vehicles.
Manager of Custodial – Albert Klade
Responsible for custodial services, pest control, recycling/disposal, flooring, and community use/rentals. Shares an integral part with energy management, facilities security and safety.
Manager of Building Trades and Grounds – Justin Edwards
Responsible for maintenance of district facilities regarding carpentry, painting, locksmith, cabinet shop, and grounds including horticulture, arboriculture, turf and playgrounds. Shares an integral part with energy management, facilities security and safety.
Manager of Mechanical – Aaron Portman
Responsible for maintenance of district facilities regarding plumbing, H-VAC and DDC. Shares an integral part with energy management, facilities security and safety.
Manager of Electrical – Dietrich Huber
Responsible for maintenance of district facilities regarding electrical, electronics and life safety systems. Shares an integral part with energy management, facilities security and safety.
Manager of Facilities Operations – Cathy Meeres
Responsible for Maintenance Operations, AFG and Minor Capital project budgeting, facilities office administration, and CMMS (computerized maintenance management system). Shares an integral part with energy management, facilities security and safety.
