Capital Planning

Capital Planning & Project Implementation is the planning, scheduling, budgeting and implementation of the District’s capital facility projects (additions, renewals, renovations, reconfigurations and demolitions to buildings and grounds) including:

• liaising with stakeholders, Ministry of Education and City of Abbotsford
• retaining design consultants and general contractors or construction managers
• acting as project manager over the planning, the design and construction phases
• on smaller projects, take on the role of general contractor, hiring of sub-trades and carrying out the work with in-house staff.

Property Management & Planning includes the long and short-term enrolment projections, space planning, acquisition and disposal of real property and provision of services to properties leased by or from the District.
